Mr. & Mrs. Beswick
A late autumn wedding at Salford Cathedral. Overcast skies, a little sunshine and mild temperatures. The day started early at the Lowry Hotel for Bridal Prep, before the wedding car ferried the important people across to the Cathedral Church of St. John the Evangelist. The Cathedral service gave this wedding a really traditional feel about it. The short journey back into the city set up a great evening reception at the Lowry Hotel for canopies, meal, cake cutting and a grazing table - not to mention dancing to a live band! A lovely day had by all. Weddings at this time of year can be tricky for a photographer, due to there being less daylight hours, but the couple were made up with the images I delivered….
Bridal Prep
A spacious Bridal suite, a Bride, Mother of the Bride and 5 Bridesmaids. A lovely airy room, with an abundance of natural light flooding in from the large windows. Champagne flowed…in moderation ;0)… it was a lovely relaxed build up to the ceremony. At one point in the morning, the sun managed to briefly break through the overcast sky. This created a very different light for the time it shone; knowing how to adapt to this and still produce pleasing images is, as the photographer, my job.
The Groom
Whilst photographing Bridal Prep, it’s important for me to disappear for periods to photograph other important details - particularly the reception room preparations, and later on, the guests arriving. With the Groom dangerously close at the hotel though, a few shots of the groomsmen were called for - to keep him distracted.
Get Me To the Church On Time…John!
Arrive in style…and don’t be late! Unless you’re the Bride…it’s expected!
The Wedding Ceremony
Whilst the sunset on the outside, inside the cathedral new beginnings were created. It was a truly wonderful service, filled with joy. There was a genuine happiness from the family and guests. The Groom wanted to know I’d capture his tear as his Bride-to-be walked down the aisle - I did. The Bride grinned from start to finish. Important moments to look back on.
Party time….
Having spent all day apart, they now look forward to the rest of their day(s) together…
